Andrew began working as a solicitor in Wolverhampton in 1986, becoming a partner in the firm in 1994. As the head of our criminal team, Andrew has overall responsibility for all of our criminal cases. He appears in the Magistrates' Court as well as as managing our more serious Crown Court cases. and being head of our Crown Court department
He has considerable experience across the full breadth of criminal work, from attendance to advise clients at the police station through to advocacy in the Magistrates' Court. Over the years he has forged professional and personal links with both local and London-based barristers whom he has instructed to defend clients in the higher courts.
He has had personal responsibility for a large number of murder and serious violence cases over the years, including sexual offences.
He is a member of both the Police Station and Court Duty Solicitor Schemes.
He has a long association and commitment to the City of Wolverhampton. Further cementing his ties to the local community, Andrew is heavily involved on a voluntary basis in the administration/governance of three schools in the Wolverhampton area. He is Chair of Governors at Perry Hall Multi Academy Trust, comprising two schools in the area, Perry Hall Primary School and Berry Brook Primary School. He was appointed a Community Governor for Deansfield Community School, Deans Road, Wolverhampton in November 2012.
